OK, I'll kick things off - big thanks to Chris for such an amazing site, and for creating these football-focused boards, which are needed. I'm a big collector of University of Michigan-related sports memorabilia. I almost exclusively collect "paper" items such as tickets, a few select programs, sheet music, postcards, pocket schedules and other misc items. Outside of tickets and schedules, where I collect everything (and will pay a nice premium for full / unused tickets!), I generally focus on items that have a strong, usually color visual element to them (i.e., would look great framed on the wall) - I've included one example from my collection in this post. I grew up in Ann Arbor but now live in California so it's a bit difficult to source outside of my network and eBay. I've been collecting since I was a child, but became serious about 5 years ago. Would love to connect with other collectors to buy / sell / trade. Joe

Michigancollector gets the Forum award for the first official post (other than mine!) on this board! Thanks for joining.
If you get time over the weekend to post photos of your collection on the Collector's Gallery board, I'm sure others would enjoy seeing it!

Hello,
I’m JohnE, and one of your newest members. Having played sports in my youth, and of course maintaining that interest as a spectator and collector of various memorabilia as the years progressed, I have always had an infinity for sports equipment. A long, long, while back, I began repairing old and new baseball gloves, and footballs as a hobby, and that hobby grew into a little side business which to me is, less of a business, and more so just a reason to play with sports equipment my wife could get behind (joking). My work in this area often brings before me some really nice old stuff, most of the time just long enough to repair or refurbish it, but every now and again, I do get an opportunity to pick up something sweet to work on for my own. However, I just don’t enjoy working on sports gear, I also like to put the time in learning about the history of each piece...and that’s what has brought here to this site. I’ve been on this site several times before in the past and I think it’s a really great site, as it’s always been as helpful as it’s been a place of education for me.
